Instron Biaxial Cruciform Test Systems

Experience unparalleled precision and control in studying in-plane biaxial material fatigue properties with our cutting-edge biaxial cruciform testing systems. Our innovative technology combines the axial loading of four independent actuators to deliver superior center-point control, providing you with the most accurate results possible.

The Instron® planar biaxial cruciform testing systems use four cutting-edge motors placed in-plane and perpendicularly with high-stiffness, precisely aligned annular load frames. These systems are good for two-axis tensile, low-cycle fatigue (LCF), high-cycle fatigue (HCF), thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF), and fracture tests because the 8800 controller has advanced features that let you control each axis' translation and deformation.

Console software lets you control the whole system from a PC, including making basic waveforms, calibrating, setting up limits, and keeping an eye on the system's state. WaveMatrixTM Dynamic Testing Software is used to control each axis of a test at the same time. From the Graphical method setup screen, you can create simple or complicated tests.

Features:
-    Standard systems feature load capacities ranging up to 250 kN
-    8800 Advanced Modal Control Techniques
-    Wide variety of options, grips, and accessories avaiable to suit application requirements
